Is a forms authentication solution commercially available?
Hi All,
Based on the large number of people working to make forms authentication work with SSRS, I'd say someone must offer this on a commercial basis. I for one would be very interested in that. I run a small company that doesn't have the resources to build it
ourselves, but do need a forms-based authentication for SSRS.
Does anyone know of a reseller for this?
Thanks,
Coen

Hi,
Thank you, but I'm aware of the sample. The thing is, Ive tried 5 times to get it working and every time SSRS just seems to die. In our little company we don't have the expertise to figure out what's going on.
Thanks anyway,
Coen

Right. :)
I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer with all patches applied. SSRS is installed in native mode with all defaults. I've downloaded the latest version of the sample with the readme dated 8/22/2011. I've followed
all the steps in the readme.
If I then try to open the report manager in IE9, I get 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage', although before the sample, it worked just fine. I can't seem to find any error messages in the event viewer. I can confirm the SSRS is running by the
event viewer and I can connect to it with the SSRS config manager.
I just can't use SSRS.
Any pointers would be great.
Thanks,
Coen
