No, it is impossible to create My Site on a WSS 3.0 server. The My Site feature is only available on the Office SharePoint Server 2007 CALs. See below for more information. More information can be found there: WSS v3 vs MOSS 2007. http://www.chicagotech.net/netforums/viewtopic.php?t=3866kind regards,Paul Keijzers Check my website http://www.kbworks.nl or follow me on @KbWorks be sure to Check my KbWorks blog

Thanks for getting back to me. Okay this makes sense except for one small detail. The photo of the user displayed in people and groups is usually the person's 'My Site' photo or the photo in 'User profiles and properties in Central Administration. Our WSS site does not have an SSP so where would we upload a photo for the user? Thanks againTony

From this you can then open my settings (found under your name in the top right of the page) and then edit item and put the URL of the picture in. This seems to work well if you have a fairly technical audience its not a tidy soloution but i think its the only way possible and certainly adds abit of fun to discussion boards. Regards, John
