Internal parameter is visible/editable from subscription page SQL Server 2008
Hi, I have found a similar question and answer to it but this doesn't resolve my problem. User still can change internal parameters in their subscriptions! We have SQL Server 2008 . Is there any possibility to hide internal parameters? Is it a question of access rights? I have tried to change the rdl file directly but there isn't any <internal> for parameters. There is only <hidden> property possible. Is it a configuration issue? Can you help? Thanks a lot. Best regards, Monika

Hi, I have solved the problem. After I deleted the report on the server (report manager) and deployed it again my internal parameter is hidden in subscriptions as well! The problem is. When I delete a report all subscriptions of this report are gone. I hope I don't have to do it often. Best regards, Monika

Hi CBM, Thanks for you post. According to your description, you would like to void the users to edit the internal parameters of the subscriptions. Reporting service is power tool, it’s unnecessary to delete the subscription, you only need to narrow the rights of the relevant users. Please refer to the steps below: 1. Go to the Report Manager Home page, Click Properties(SSRS R2 click Folder Settings) 2. In the Security tab, find the relevant user, click Edit. 3. Check the Browser Item, uncheck all the other items. 4. Click Apply. After you complete the steps below, all your subscription would be invisible to the relevant user.
