Integrating SharePoint 2010 Foundation with a dedicated RS/DE SQL Server
Hello, I am having trouble to integrate Reporting Services 2008 R2 with SharePoint 2010 Foundation. Here is my configuration : 1 x SharePoint Server: - OS Windows 2008 R2 Standard - SharePoint 2010 Foundation installed and configured - Search Server 2010 Express installed and configured 1 x SQL Server: - OS Windows 2008 R2 Standard - SharePoint 2010 Prerequisites installed - SharePoint 2010 installed but wizard not run - SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard: - 1 Database Engine instance running on a dedicated domain account: hosting all SharePoint DB + Reporting Service DB - 1 Reporting Service instance running on a dedicated domain account. Configuration done in SharePoint integrated Integration of RS with SharePoint: - From Central Administration: - General Application Settings > Reporting Services Integration (using trusted account mode): 1. First trial: error is reported because WSS_WPG group does not exist on SQL server group. 2. I manually created the missing WSS_WPG group 3. Second trial: no error reported - Add a Report Server to the Integration 1. no issue reported. - Set server defaults: - Error: "Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. If the report server is configured to use SharePoint integrated mode, verify that the server is joined to a SharePoint farm and that the Report Server service account has been granted access to the SharePoint farm. Does someone see what I did wrong ? Regards.

Hi Sylvain06, Please make sure the Reporting Services SharePoint add-in is installed in the SQL Server machine(Reporting Service machine). Please make sure you have configure the Database access via "Grant Database Access" page in the SharePoint central site. Thanks, Jin ChenJin Chen - MSFT

Hello Jin, Sorry for my late answer, I was out. Could you please let me know the full path of the "Grant Database Access" page, I can't find it. Regards.
