Instant Messaging in SharePoint without the Lync client
Hello! I have users identified by the AD however I will not be able to install the Lync client on their PCs. The users are to be collaborating within SharePoint. My question is: will they be able to use the instant messaging features "within" the SharePoint browser without their actual office Lync client? Thanks,

Hello Jason, thanks for your reply. Ok that the user must have a license for the Lync server. But just to be sure: the user has the integrated presence button in the SharePoint screen.... So, what you are saying is that the user must have the Lync client (little window) to be able to use the IM of Lync It is not that the conversasion can start in the SharePoint window? the flower
