Installing SSRS 2005 on different machine than SQL Server (authentication problem)
Hi guys, I tried to install ssrs 2005 on a different machine than SQL Server, but during SSRS 2005 configuration I get error for user authentication. What is the best way to have the right authentication? Many thanks

What error did you get? We have a dedicated server for SSRS and using a domain account have no problems to configure itBest Regards, Uri Dimant SQL Server MVP http://dimantdatabasesolutions.blogspot.com/ http://sqlblog.com/blogs/uri_dimant/

The problem is that we do not have domain architecture. So I need to understand what user I need to set to make sure SQL Server and Reporting Services connect to each other

Hi fasttrack, Do you mean your Reporting Services 2005 and the Report Server database are setup on separate servers, but you do not have domain architecture? So, can we say currently the issues access database on another server without domain? If I have misunderstood, please point out. Generally, we can use the Reporting Services Configuration tool to create and configure a connection to the report server database. For the detailed steps, please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157300(v=SQL.90).aspx If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
