Installing SCOM 2007 R2
Hi,
I am facing some probelm with my current installation of SCOM on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, so I am planning to install it again to Five VM Computers namely (RMS, MS, SQLDB, SQLDBRS, Console) which are in same domain (say SCOMSJ.scom.com).
The name shows what they should contain. I also follow some internet guide but I got totally confused in installing what to where?
I also followed this
link and created users but I cannot be able to install software on other computers with those account.
How can I achieve a successful configuration and I want a detailed walkthorugh (Step-By-Step). Can anybody help me out?
Regards,
Ravi

Hey Anders,
Thanks for your help. But I am not getting the server enviornment, to start with. Having this five machines, I am deciding to go with Multiple server / single management group. Will it be ok? But I wanna know where to install where and how many user accounts
I have to create?Regards, Ravi

Depends on what environment you are about to monitor. What do you mean with "where to install where?"
About the users see: http://blogs.technet.com/b/jonathanalmquist/archive/2010/03/16/security-model.aspx

What I mean to say that I know I have to install DB and RS on the two systems but on MS should I install only Managenet Server of SCOM and whole Console and Web Console on other machine? Wil It work? How the RMS will be configuredand what to install
on this?Regards, Ravi

It's all depending on your hardware specs and how many servers/devices you're about to monitor. Like anders said read the deployment guide.
Here are more guides like security guides etc.: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/systemcenter/om/bb498235
database calulator can be found here: http://aspoc.net/archives/2007/10/16/opsmgr-2007-database-and-data-warehouse-size-calculator/
and a environment sizer can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=23016
It's all up to you how to configure your SCOM environment it's not recommended to use the console on the RMS. In your case you can use the MS.
For the SCOM Webconsole see: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagerdeployment/thread/46731c07-7196-4941-8e49-69efabfb46ae/
