Hi I want to know if anyone can help. I have successfully installed SCCM for our UK office and now am planning to install it for our US office however witihn AD the System Management folder has replicated over to the US domain controller as you would expect it too. if i want to create a primary site for the US office can i just add the Computer object for the new server to the same System Management folder?? thanks in advance!!

Yes, the site server should be granted permissions to the system management container. The server will try to write to the system management container every hour, so it will be able to write the data.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Thanks Kent, Will there be any conflicts with the existing SCCM server in the UK? My understanding is that once the US SCCM server has been given permissions to the System Management container i can set up site boundaries via IP subnet. Then IT in US can administer that server and UK IT staff can look after theirs - is this right? thanks!

When you configure a parent/child relationship between the two then you can administer the US site thru the UK site console.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund
