Installing R2 on Secondary Site Server
Hi all,I cannot install R2 on our Secondary Site Server. I got the following message when I run the R2 msi locally:"Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager R2 requires a Configuration Manager 2007 installation of version 4.00.6202.0000 or higher". However, both primary and secondary site server are installed SCCM SP2 (Version 4.00.6487.2000 Build 6487) and R2 was already installed on my primary server. Can anyone advise why I still get the message when installing R2 on secondary site server? Thanks a lot!Regards,Roger

The R2 msi writes a logfile to %temp% or %windir%\temp (or something like that). I always forget the exact name and location of it. Does it contain something useful?

Hi Roger, Is your R2 installation files a Evaluation Release or Feature Update Release? Configuration Manager 2007 R2 Evaluation Release cannot be installed on Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 See R2 supported configuration: Configuration Manager 2007 R2 Supported Configurations http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc161851.aspx
