Installing BDP on RODC
Hi, my customer has about 50 branches and each branch there is a RODC. Instead of getting a new hardware for BDP or installing on one of the desktops, can I install it in the RODC instead? Please advise. Thanks Sarah

Hi Sarah, From this thread - http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrdocs/thread/c19f96c6-b7b4-48bf-a89d-945141e7132b "Installing Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 primary and secondary site systems is supported on Windows Server 2008 read-only domain controller (RODC) computers. During site installation using the Configuration Manager 2007 Setup Wizard, the wizard will identify that the site is being installed on an RODC and search for a writable domain controller to create the necessary groups required by the type of site installation. However, when installing secondary sites using the Install Secondary Site Installation Wizard from a Configuration Manager console, the groups required for the secondary site installation must be pre-created in Active Directory Domain Services before beginning the installation. " So I guess that installing a BDP would be ok. Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund
