Installed updates and KBs for SQL Server 2005
Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to check what KBs and other updates (outside service packs, such as KBs) have been installed on an instance of SQL Server 2005. Thanks, Richard

Hello Richard, You can get this buy the build number of the SQL Server; every SP/CU etc. has it's own unique build number. You can check the build number of your SQL Server e.g. with SELECT @@version Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing

when you connect to your sql server engine with SSMS, you will see a number inside parenthesis right after node name , you can search for that number in this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321185 and you will find which version of SQL server , service package and Cumulative update installed there.http://www.rad.pasfu.com

And the latest release infos (with build numbers) you can get from SQL Server Release Service Blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlreleaseservices/Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing
