Installed feature missing for some users.
Hi All,
I installed a site specific feature, but it is not displaying for some users.
The users that can see the feature can view the feature in a list the feature is activated for and when viewing the site features it is listed.
The users that cannot see the feature do not have it displayed undnder site features.
Does anyone have an idea why this might be?
Is there a permission for users to view the feature? It was set to allow all users.
Are there any browser settings? IE8 IE7 and firefox have been tested.
Thanks.

The SharePoint Feature is just a container for elements like Web Parts/Event Receivers and etc. What did this Feature install on your SharePoint?

The only thing it did was add a button to a specific list viewtoolbar.

Do you have a Web Farm? The behavior looks like you did not install Feature on all WFE servers in Web Farm.

Wow great call Oleg!
It was missing from one of our front end servers.
How do we install it on the other WFE?
I have tried iisreset on both WFE's, but the feature still only displays on the one.

Try un-deploying it, then re-deploying it, making sure to select 'all farms' instead of a specific one.Gabriel Matthews Systems Engineer - QServices Co.

I didnt create it as a solution.
I just installed it with the stsadm install/activate feature command.
I ran the install on the other WFE and everyone can now view the feature.
Thanks everyone.
