Installation Best Practice
Just wondering if it is recommended to change the default installation directory from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager to use a partition other than the system partition?DW

I would definitely recommend a different partition to avoid any space issues in future expecially in production environment.

Sure. Using a different physical drive will result in better performance.

I will also strongly recommend using a another partition. ConfigMgr. will place a lot of files in the ConfigMgr. folders when replicating packages etc. I have seen multiple site servers running out of disk space.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products
