Install pending on Main DP
I have created a new software distribution package, but the package is in "Install Pending" state for too long where the size of the program is not more than 1 MB. Its the Main Server not a secondary server or BDP.
All the Site components and site system status is green.
Thanks

Check the connectivity between main server and secondary server or BDP?
Also check the distmgr.log for more details about the issue?

the package is on the Main Server and the same server is the DP. I am not distributing it on secondary or BDP.

Sorry, I didn't catch that..BTW...you need to start troubleshooting by verifying distmgr.log..

Open ConfigMgr service manager and see if the distmgr thread is still running. Also check if sms_executive is up and running.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

check the sender.log
Sender.log does not have to be checked because Sccmnb mentioned that "the package is on the Main Server and the same server is the DP".
Sccmnb: so distmgr is having problems. You could try stopping sms executive and site component manager or just reboot the server. Monitor distmgr.log after that.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
