Install Software Packages and Platform Requirements
Hello. My environment is SCCM 2007 SP2 with R2 and MDT 2010 integration. We use a stored procedure to determine what packages to install during the build. Since we have both Windows XP and Windows 7 in the environment, some packages are configured for both platforms, only XP or only Windows 7 in the client platforms section of the programs. Should the platform requirement be recognized when a machine is build? For example, I am building a Windows 7 machine. The stored procedure runs and determines what packages to install. Once package is meant only for Windows XP and is configured to only run on All x86 Windows XP in the program requirements. Will it not recognize this and install the package?

I edited the stored procedure to exclude if the program had a comment of Windows XP only.
