Install SCCM 2007 completely next to SMS 2003 SP3
I need to implement SCCM 2007 at a customer that has a SMS 2003 environment running. Because SMS is not setup like it should, I want to start from scratch. Until SCCM is fully configured, we should want to keep using SMS for OSD and software distribution. If SCCM is up and running, I want to start deploying new PC's with SCCM, but we have a lot of WinXP images in different languages in SMS, so they still should be available to deploy. In a second phase we will migrate to Win7 with 1 global image. if this is also running, we should remove SMS2003 Does somebody has tips how I can perform this setup? Will there be issues with site boundaries and that sort of things? thanks in advance

They can run perfectly next to eachother, as long as there are no overlapping Boundaries. My Blog: http://www.petervanderwoude.nl/

Everything will work fine if there are no overlapping boundaries. Two different hierarchies can co-exist in the same forest/domain then.
