I have a problem to install multiple aplications with Task Sequence, Inicially I tried with a OSD task Sequence Deployment, everything worked fine until Software Installation. Right now I´ve created a Task Sequence just for applications and just like happened with OSD TS, I get the 80004005 Error. I´ve looking for this on diferent forums and blogs, all they recommend that review for the options "Allow this program to be installed from the Install Software task Sequence without being advertised" and "Whether or not is user logged" both are checked I made some tests and recently discover something, When I chose "Install a single application" don´t have any problem with instalation of the same package that multiple instalations, then I guess that doesn´t exist any problem with the package, but yes with my declaration of variables. I tried two ways for that: 1.- On the collection I give right clic and chose Modify Collection Settings, on Collection Variables clic on New, On Name wrote "Package001" and on value "C0100046:Java". Finally On TS I checked Install multiple applications and wrote "Package". 2.- Add Set Task Sequence variable and put similar conditions on it. Both ways give me the same error 80004005 when run the TS. Maybe i don´t understand the procedure, this is the reason because i´m being so especific. Hope you can help me. Loose the quotes. Your variable should read: C0100046:Java 6.0.200.2 Inglés The client will be able to work with the spaces, the quotes just confuse the ____ out of the client. I did!!! I re-named de package and the program like Java6u22, removing de "'´" (accent) and the "." (dot), then updated the package and now is working.
