Hi,
I think you will find all the steps in the deployment guide, at
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=4561. Also I have a couple of blogposts around the topic at

Hi
There is more official documentation here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb735408.aspx
How many servers do you have in the untrusted domain? The options are:
- deploy a certificate to every agent in the untrusted domain and on the Operations Manager Management servers
- deploy a gateway server in the untrusted domain and then deploy certificates to the Gateway Server and the Operations Manager Management servers
The gateway server is licensed as a management server so adds to cost. But if you have 10 or more servers that you want to monitor, the advantages of the gateway server are that it is much easier to deploy and maintain agents.
