Initial Load
Hi, I been doing some thinking about the best ways to go around initial load of users and groups in to the FIM Portal. Typically, we don't go into greenfield installations and will need to interact with already existing users and group in the Active Directory. So, the question is - how do you typically go about this? Assuming that all join and project rules are properly implemented, how do you go about the task of loading initial data into the portal? 1) Do you extract all users and groups from AD and "feed" these to the Portal using Powershell? I've done this a few times because the customer didn't want "sync" into the portal and the flip the flow rules; 2) Do you sync all relevant info into the Portal and then flip the flow rules? 3) Do you ease them into using Equal Precedence and only apply Synchronization Rule to the users and groups with special characteristics? 3) Other ways? Let's hear it from the boys and girls out there...Regards, Soren Granfeldt http://granfeldt.blogspot.com
