Hi

When opening an attachment in a 2010 InfoPath browser enabled form the Open option is not given, only Save and Cancel.

This occurs with all file types e.g. Excel, Word and Pdf's.  Users must first save the file before the open option is given, This is an inconvenience to the user.

Browser file handling is already set to Permissive.  It works in document libraries, but not in an InfoPath Form.

Hi, this did not resolve my problem.

I already tried all suggestions that are posted in the link you provided.

One suggestion was to install a hotfix.  I reproduced the same error on a test environment and installed the Hotfix.  (The test environment did not have any Service Pack installed).  The hotfix resolved the problem on the test environment.

Then i tried installing the hotfix on the live environment.  It could not install and presented an error message.  I think this is due to a service pack already been installed.

I downloaded the Hotfix from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2436035

When trying to install it on the server it gave the following message.

  "There are no products affected by this package installed on this system."

I assume this is because the hotfix is already included in the Service Pack that is currently installed on the server.
