InfoPath rules on repeating table column

Hello Friends,

I have a repeating table with 4 columns. The first column contains Val1, Val2 and Val3 as options.

Now I want to implement a formatting rule that will show a section when Val2 is selected. The rule works perfectly when the first repeating table item is selected as Val2. However the rule fails when first item is selected as Val1 and second as Val2

Can you please suggest some solutions to work around this issue? Please let me know if further explanation is needed on this

Thanks

Hi, can you put the formatting rule on the section that you want to hide like:

Condition

field = "Val2"

then check Hide this control checkbox

Hi Kumar,

Thank you for the reply. I have already done the exact same step as mentioned in my query. This rule works only for the first line item. If the Val2 is selected as the second line item then it fails.

Hello Everyone,

I kinda figured it out. When you create the formatting rule, select the "Any occurrences of field" do no contain Val2 and it works like a charm.

Thank you all for help
