InfoPath Web Part to Filter SharePoint list

Environment:

SharePoint Server 2010 with InfoPath Form services enabled an appears to be functioning properly.  (we have several web based forms in production)

Form Created with InfoPath 2013

Issue:

I have a simple drop down field in an InfoPath form web part on a page.    Also on the page I have a list web part.  I am attempting to use the InfoPath form web part with drop down to filter the data in the list web part by connecting the two.  I have a button with a rule that sends data to the connected web part when clicked.  This works perfectly when I select an item in the drop down but by default, when the page loads, I get no items in the list.  I have unchecked the "Send Data to Connected Web Parts when page loads" but it appears to be doing this anyway.

Summary:

When I browse to the page, I see nothing in the list web part until I select an item in the InfoPath form web part drop down field and click on the button to send data to the list web part.

How can I set this up so ALL items in the list are displayed on page load?

Hi,

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display all items on page load.

By design in SharePoint, when loading page the dropdown value is blank and there are no items match the filter condition.

As a workaround, you can use SharePoint List Filter. It has the similar funaction with the InfoPath form web part and it will display all items when page load.
