InfoPath 2013 add submit button for creating item in SharePoint 2013 list

Hello everybody,

I habe created a list and customized a form for the list in InfoPath. Eventhough I have created a button with the action "submit item" by usinf a data connection to the list, the item is not added to the list. Only when I use the save button in the toolbar in sharepoint, the item is saved. Can somebody help me to implement a submit button on an InfoPath form opened in the browser.

Hi,

From your description, I know you want to add a submit button in list with SharePoint InfoPath.

You could follow these steps:

  1. Open a SharePoint custom list with InfoPath.
  2. Add a button into the form.
  3. Right click the button, choose button properties.
  4. Select Submit in the combo box under Action section.
  5. Apply.
  6. Publish.
