Hi About 10 of my users have recently started using Project and we've gone for the 2010 version for the improved functionality (and the now familiar ribbon) that it offers. This has been installed in addition to their standard Office 2007 install and InfoPath 2007. We've started to notice problems though and I can't fix one without breaking the other. The first problem to manifest was that InfoPath wasn't saving files back to the form library that they were created from. I found similar problems elsewhere (see here) and managed to fix it by running Office Diagnostics from the Help menu in an Office 2007 app. However, following this I noticed that our SharePoint homepage was throwing an error and that the dropdown menus on the top nav weren't working. The error is pasted below. Repairing Project 2010 fixes this problem but then breaks InfoPath again. Other than having to buy licences for Infopath (and possibly Office) 2010 for all of these users, I can't seem to find a solution to both problems at once. Does anyone have any suggestions? I suspect this is one more exampleof the problems caused by mixing Office versions on Client systems used to access SharePoint systems. Here these ten users have both the Office 2007 main applications and an Office 2010 level application (Project 2010). It never is a good idea to do this (the more common combination being a version of Outlook with an earlier version of Office).
