Incomplete Parts to Status Date does not always work!
Bug discovered in Project Server 2013: When the security setting "Only allow task updates via Tasks and Timesheets" is enabled, the button "Move --> Incomplete Parts to Status Date" in the client does not work anymore for tasks that have actual work.

Anyone else seen this issue? We are on the latest June

Hi Philp,

Can you provide a detail scenario which can be reproduced so we could test it and eventually forward it to our Microsoft Project team friends?

For what it is worth... I have a problem with the "Move --> Incomplete Parts to Status Date".  Our setting is 'ON' for "Only allow task updates via Tasks and Timesheets" for a particular file.

Interestingly, when we tried with 2 different versions of Project Pro 2013 on the same file, in Project Pro client it works, and in the other one it does not!  The one that works is set to update Project Pro 2013 automatically...

The one that does not work has this version:

Hi guys,

Just read the bug fixes of the February 2015 Public Update and there is something which might refer to your issue:

"Assume that you open and edit a project from Project Server in Project Professional 2013, and the Protected Actuals feature is enabled. When you select a task in the project, and then click Move -> Incomplete Part to Status Date, the task schedule does not change as expected."

It is indeed fixed in the February 2015 CU for the client, see my message of March 2.
