Incompatibility of MS Office 2010 with Access Runtime 2007 and Sharepoint 3.0
I have an application using Access Runtime 2007 and Sharepoint 3.0. It is installed on over 20 users home computers with various configurations and operating systems. Whenever one of them installs Office 2010, it somehow impacts the Runtime 2007 installation and the application will no longer connect with SharePoint. I have just been told by my SharePoint host proivider that Access 2010 is not compatible with SharePoint version 3.0. I cannot at that time switch to SharePoint 2010 - it will require moving to another host and losing system dates and Created by/Modified by data. On my Windows 7 computer I now have MS Office 2010 Pro and MS Access 2007 installed (not runtime). The accdb version of the application works correctly in Access 2007. I've just tried the accdr and it is not responding, but it did ask me to log in, so I think that it did at least connect. But on the computers where there is Office 2010 and Access RUNTIME 2007, it seems that Access RUNTIME 2007 has picked up the property of Access 2010 that does not allow it to connect to SharePoint 3.0. We have tried uninstalling Runtime and the re-installing. Also completely removing both and then first installing Office 2010 and then Access RUNTIME 2007. But nothing seems to work. Is there a DLL or some other file that is overwritten in the case of Runtime but is OK with the full version? I apologize if I am in the wrong forum. Is so, please direct me to the correct one. I need a solution quick. Thanks very much for your help. SandySandy Zohari AzoTek Database Solutions
