AFAIK there is no Excel 2005 (was it 2003)? Also this limit was removed (if I recall right) in Excel 2010. There are no specific variations of destinations for Excel. Besides, do the end users have this version? I suggest you rather simply output to a CSV file which is natively supported by any Excel edition.Arthur My Blog

Hi, I am having issues exporting a query data which is around 500K to excel 2005 (as the limit is 65k odd rows). So I have installed office 2007 to resolve this. I thought i would see one of the destinations as excel 2007. But i didn't so please let me know if i need to download any sql server patch for this. Thanks

Sorry, Arthur. You are right its Excel 2003. But my issue is with the export of the data to an excel file from SQL SERVER 2005. It doesn't allow me to export the data greater than 65k odd rows. So please let me know if this can be done.\ Thanks

Output to multiple files is one option, but who can read/consume so many rows in Excel? Besides, in Excel 2007 the max number of rows limit is now at 1,048,576 rows, so you can use the newer version.Arthur My Blog

Hello, How about writing data to .csv file and then users can open the file by using Excel 2007 or 2010. In this way you don't have to worry about number of rows writing to excel. Just write all the records to .csv file by using Flat file destination and your users will be able to open this csv file in EXCEL 2007 or EXCEL 2010. Thankshttp://sqlage.blogspot.com/
