Implementing a Gantt with SSRS 2005
Hi,
for a my report I need to display data into a GANTT visualization. If possible, how can I do it with Reporting Services 2005?
Do I need to install a 3-rd party (free possibly!) component?
Any helps to me, please?
Many thanks

Hi Shahfaisal, thanks for your reply,
but in the first link I can see a rough example and the second link refers to tablix, an object of SSRS 2008. I'm working with SSRS 2005!
Many thanks

The first link should be good enough right? There are not many posts out there for 2005, take a look at this one as well.

Also this article seems to see the first link. The result is graphically rough. And with a 3-rd party (free) component for SSRS 2005?
Thanks

Yes, as mentioned in first few lines i the article:
Gantt charts in SSRS arent included in the 2005 release. You can purchase a third-party add-on, or, if you can wait, these powerful project tools might make it in the 2008 release.
Or Alternatively, you can do this now with the native RS Chart control by using he methods David Leibowitz provides to do this now with the native RS Chart control.Shahfaisal Muhammed http://shahfaisalmuhammed.blogspot.com

Hi pscorca,
As Shahfaisal posted, the Gantt Chart is not provided in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services. In SSRS 2008 and higher, the Range Bar chart is similar to a Gannt Chart. If you need a Gannt chart for SSRS 2005, you can consider a third party report item provider
like Dundas (www.dundas.com).
Hope this helps.
