Impact on SCCM in AD Forest migration
Hi All, Customer is having AD Forest and exchange environment. They need to install new AD Forest and Exchange environment. Later Users and mailboxes will be migrated into the new AD forest. Currently Customer is having SCCM 2007 installed. I need to understand the impact on SCCM after migration. Will SCCM servers will be working after migrating into new AD forest? What would be the correct approach to function SCCM correctly? Thanks & Regards, Kedar

It's not supported to rename the site server and as Peter is saying it will not work. What you should do, is install a new site server in the new forest and add it as a child site. That way you will get all the objects replicated down and you can reassign the clients once they are moved to the new domain.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: blog.coretech.dk/kea and SCUG.dk/ | Twitter: @Agerlund | Linkedin: Kent Agerlund
