Images in HTML rendered reports
We have a report that we render to HTML and attach to an email. This report has an image embedded in the form of an externally accessible URL. When the report is rendered to HTML, the URL is replaced with the stream ID. I understand that I can use the StreamRoot Device Information setting to change the root of the URL, but is there any way to avoid having the image URL being changed to the stream ID. In other words, we would like the image to remain as an externally accessible URL. Is there a way to just embed the image tag into the report such that the HTML renderer does not modify it? Thanks!

Hi AChavis, According to your presentation, I guess you would like to replace the image stream id with URL reference. If I misunderstand, please correct me. When the report is rendered to HTML or other format file, the image file is absolutely isolated, it cached all the reference resources into internal itself other than the URL reference, I suspect it is just a reporting service mechanism which was designed originally. Additionally, I would suggest you submit a feedback at http://connect.microsoft.com/. Connect site is a connection point between you and Microsoft, and ultimately the larger community. Your feedback enables Microsoft to make software and services the best that they can be, and you can learn about and contribute to exciting projects. Appreciate your understanding. Thanks, Bill Lu
