Hi Uri,
We let our users to surf directly to http://reportserver/reports
there they see folders
in ssrs you can define security for each folder (who can enter and who cannot...)

Imagine that you have a primary folder for a group of employees
e.g.
http://myreportserver/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx?ItemPath=%2fProjectName&ViewMode=List
There you can put sub folders :
e.g.:
AccountManagers, Cashiers, Departmentmanagers, RecruitmentTIA Guy Cohen

I wish I could add folders to the reports in design time (like I do when I use vb or c#) and then publish them...
Also I wish I could give the folders the users/credentials in design time so when I publish them it will be there as it should :)
How come MS did not think of that yet?TIA Guy Cohen

Hi Guy,
To achieve your purpose, a possible workaround I can think is that use the built-in fields User!UserID to control report accessibility on report level.
If you use User!UserID in your report, you can make the report to show appropriate content to different users.
In addition, if you set a folder accessible to everyone (or somebody) in a domain, when you deploy the report project to report server, the report server
may not in the same domain, and then who can access this folder? So, this proposal could be open to question.
If you still want to set report folder accessibility in report design time, unfortunately, the feature is not included in current release. I would suggest
you submitting a wish at

Connect site is a connection point between you and Microsoft, and ultimately the larger community. Your feedback enables Microsoft to make software and
services the best that they can be, and you can learn about and contribute to exciting projects.
Appreciate your understanding.
