I want to upgrade my SCCM OS from 2003 to 2008
Currently we are running SCCM 2007 SP1 . All the clients are connecting to this SCCM . Now i want to reinstall my SCCM OS from 2003 to 2008 R2. I will keep same my Site code and Machine names after the reinstallation . 1) After the reinstallation , My clients will communicate to the New SCCM OS server ?(My old machine will get reinstall here)2) AFter the reinstallation AD will have new Certificate information and Clients will have old server certificate information . How client can communicate to the new SCCM setup .Is there any solution ?Thanks ...

If you are doing a re-install, I would not reuse the site code. Have you thought about doing a backup and restore, this way you can have the same site code and server name. http://www.enhansoft.com/

can we use backup from SCCM 2007 SP1 (Windows 2003) to SCCM 2007 SP2 on Windows 2008 R2 . Thanks....

Yes, I did that already a few month ago while also changing the server language from german to english.Use the Site Backup method in SCCM an use the site repair wizard or supply the backup during installation.Also see "Recovering Configuration Manager Sites" in Help or technet.Kind regards,Benedikt

If i use Site backup from SCCM 2007 SP1 , will it override the SCCM 2007 R2 configuration and also the SCCM site database (SQL 2008 SP1) ?All my clients will take the new version of SCCM (SCCM R2) . Or we need to reinstall the agent from all the clients ?Thanks ...
