Hi All, I'm a newbie to MOSS 2007 and somehow I have designed a website in MOSS 2007 lets say at http:moss:3260 on my development machine. Now I have a client who has given me the staging information. Now, I have to deploy my entire site on the server. Kindly please guide me thoroughly how will I deploy my site to the staging server? Hi, on staging are you using the same SQL server or it is different then development ? If its same then you just have to create a site with temp DB and then attach content DB of Dev site to Staging Site using following stsadm command stsadm.exe -o addcontentdb -url <URL name> -databasename <database name> and if you are usinf seperate SQL on staging then you have to manually move .mdf and ldf files on that SQL server and after that you have to restore it on staging SQL server which will create a DB in staging SQL and then after you can perform above operation to make your site up and running.Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant | http://sharepointpratik.blogspot.com/
