We are using MOSS 2007, one of our users has Office 2003 and IE6. They have stopped receiving the option to save the doc to their local drafts folder when they attempt to check out a document. How do we reinstate this option?

Check out to local drafts is an Office 2007 function not a Office 2003 one. If users are using Office 2003 and they have this option it’s because they most likely have an Office 2007 application on their machines like SharePoint Designer 2007 or 2007 Visio. The recommendation would be to upgrade the user to Office 2007. As a workaround you can install SharePoint Designer or another free Office 2007 application to see if it brings the local draft functionality but this is not recommended. -AseemThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights

Upgrading to 2007 is not an option with my company. There has to be another workaround. It worked fine previously....

Install Microsoft Office 2007 SharePoint Designer on the machine which is a free install. This however will put designer on the machine.
