I cannot sign in with a microsoft account on Windows 10

Need help here... I just upgraded automatically from Win 7 to win 10, and was succesful - at least i think it was...

I am trying to configure my win 10, and do want to sign in with a microsoft account. However, when i go into Settings, Accounts, Your account, and I click on the "sign in with a Microsoft account instead", Nothing happens.

I have looked at the forums, I have found so many suggested solutions, but none of them works. Please help...

You may want to try this PowerShell fix for the Start Buton:

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Hi Peter,

First of all, please ensure the machine has got the latest updates.
We could refer to Brandon` s suggestion to have a check.

If the issue persists, please take the following steps to have a check.
1. Run "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" or "sfc /scannow" to check the health of system files.
2.Open an administrator command line and run "net user administrator /active:yes" to active the built-in administrator account then have a check of the symptom.
If the issue is gone, the present user account may be corrupted. We could refer to the following link to have a fix.
