I cannot sign in with a microsoft account on Windows 10

Need help here... I just upgraded automatically from Win 7 to win 10, and was succesful - at least i think it was...

I am trying to configure my win 10, and do want to sign in with a microsoft account. However, when i go into Settings, Accounts, Your account, and I click on the "sign in with a Microsoft account instead", Nothing happens.

I have looked at the forums, I have found so many suggested solutions, but none of them works. Please help...

Okay.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log out and go to the sign in screen.
  2. Hold down the shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Power button on the screen.
  3. Continue to hold down the shift key while clicking Restart.
  4. Continue to hold down the shift key until the Advanced Recovery Options menu appears.
  5. Click Troubleshoot
  6. Click Advanced options
  7. Click Startup Settings
  8. Click Restart
  9. Press (4) to Enable Safe Mode
  10. Wait while Windows 10 starts in safe mode.
  11. Log in
  12. Now create a new user account with administrative privileges.
