Hi, Please make sure you have followed the step and step guidance to configure the IRM Server. l AD RMS Deployment with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Step-by-Step Guide (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753046.aspx) l Deploying Windows Rights Management Services with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Step-By-Step Guide (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7bab2321-71e6-4cf2-8bcd-0880e0d1cda3&DisplayLang=en) Out of these steps, the specific step that includes below actions is at times not followed that may cause this problem: To add SPS-SRV to the AD RMS Certification Pipeline Log on to ADRMS-SRV as CPANDL\Administrator. 1. Navigate to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\_wmcs\Certification. 2. Right-click ServerCertification.asmx, click Properties, and then click the Security tab. 3. Click Advanced, click Edit, select the Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent check box, and then click OK two times. 4. Click Edit, and then click Add. 5. Click Object Types, select the Computers check box, and then click OK. 6. Type SPS-SRV, and then click OK. 7. Click OK to close the ServerCertification.asmx Properties sheet. 8. By default the Read & execute and the Read permissions are configured for the SPS-SRV computer account object and all other accounts inherited from the parent folder. 9. Click Start, and then click Command Prompt. Type iisreset, and then press ENTER. Adding to above steps, ensure the account with which the SharePoint Central Administration's application pool is running has been given the Read & Execute permissions to the ServerCertifications.asmx web service. The Computer Names was described in AD RMS Deployment with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Step-by-Step Guide, please replace them based on your real environment. If your issue is not resolved by following the above steps, please let me know the topology of farm in order to do further research. -lambertLambert Qin | Microsoft Online Support Engineer How to ask a question in the forum (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375) Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
