IOS RDP keyboard to VM guest

Hello,

I have the latest Microsoft ios rd client and all host/vm guests are up to dateNo matter what version of IOS RDP app iphone/ipad I cannot not use the keyboard to input the login on the hyper V VM. I can RDP into the Hyper V server and use the keyboard, but once I'm in the Hyper-V Server and double click on the VM I cannot login using the keyboard, but mouse works. The ios RDP, not matter who makes it, it used to work a year ago, but not anymore. However it works from any  windows workstations with no problem with RDP. Any idea on what's wrong? Is it the server or the app itself?

Hi,

I havent seen an issue like this before.

I suggest you use the on-screen keyboard to work around this issue.

Hi,

Keyboard does work if I RDP from ios devices directly to hyper VM guest, but if I RDP into the Hyper-V Server host then try to login into the Hyperv guest from there the keyboard does not work only mouse. On screen would work but it would not be convenient. I wonder if is any windows update that affects it. The alphabet keys do not work, however the numbers on numpad and windows keys works.

Hi,

We have tested this and get the same result as yours.

The alphabet keys do not work

We also found out that, after we press Shift, we can then type one upper case letter.

I will report this to the development team, thank you for providing us with detailed information regarding the behavior.

Best Regards,

Amy
