INBOXES/Schedule.box/tosend backlog of RPG files
HI - INBOXES/Schedule.box/tosend backlog of RPG files? There are RPG files of 2GB waiting... When I look at the sender.log it seems like pck files are getting copied to Child sites? There is nothing specific inschedule.log as well. 1. Can this be a cuase of backlog? 2. Can we avoid this if we preload load pCK files from secondary sits? 3. What are the possible reasons for this? Have you recently added new secondary sites and maybe use copy packages wizard to send packages to them? John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

Hi John - Thank you for the reply. Yes, lot of deployments are going on. We have asked them to hold the deployments for a day or 2 so that we can clear the backlog. In normal case also there are lot of new secondary sites coming up and lot of deployments going for those sites however we never seen this kind of back log since last one month. Because we were using Preload tool from secondary sites to reduce bandwidth usage. I think, current case we missed the preload that may be also cause of the issue ?? (that is why I can see the PCK files are getting copied to \\SMSSERVER\SMS_Site share, that means preload did work properly for that site right??) Anoop C Nair

Yes, if the preloadpkgonsite.exe tool wasn't run that would cause what you are seeing. Also if you are using that tool I suggest you go read my latest blog, it may save you a ton of headaches later. http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/archive/2010/05/19/146968.aspx John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |
