IM Notifications not working in SCOM 2007 R1/OCS 2007 R2 using MTLS (5061)
I had/have this issue after upgrading my OCS 2007 R1 to OCS 2007 R2. Directly after the OCS upgrade, SCOM (2007 R1) notifications stopped working with "Alert: Failed to send notification using server/device". Other than changing the pool name in the global management group settings, nothing had really changed on the SCOM side. Important to note that I also eliminated TCP 5060 in the new OCS R2 deployment and use only MTLS 5061, so SCOM was also reset to TLS and 5061. As a test, I added TCP 5060 back in the OCS 2007 R2 FE and changed SCOM settings to reflect it. Low and behold, IM's started flying in. ok, but that’s not very secure and I would like to get MTLS working. I thought that maybe it was a certificate issue, so I exported the machine certificates from SCOM and OCS servers and imported them into the corresponding server. It’s still not working with TLS or MTLS. Any ideas?
