ILM 2 RC0
Is it advisable to implement ILM2 RC0 at a live environment? we have a customer that is interested in deploying it and I am wondering if there are still many bugs in the RC0 version that will prevent a smooth implementation. ThanksMM

Hi Marie-Ange,ILM RC0 is quite buggy, so it is not advisable to implement itat live environment. I almost sure it won't be good enough to satisfy your real world needs anyway. Microsoft anounced it will release FIM RC1 in Q3 CY 2009, so this should happen this month. Microsoft says RC1 will be much better than RC0 (in terms of quality), so my guess itcould be good enough to implementit at live environment, but first we need to wait for this release.Donatas Vyzas

More important: whether it isFIM RC0 orFIM RC1, it still is NOTRTM.So no (official) support from Microsoft, unless you sign in to a TAP or RDP program.Your or customer's TAM (Technical Account Manager) will be able to tell you if the customer can join.AFAIK, these programs are closed, but talk to the MS guys for the latest news on that.It just depends if you want to take that risk, or not.Of course it also depends on the time frame of the project... (eg. go live when FIM 2010 is RTM)Kind regards,PeterPeter Geelen - Sr. Consultant IDA (http://www.traxion.com)
