ILM 2 Beta 3 - Synchronization Rules.
Hello,I installed ILM 2 Beta 3 on a test hardware.I then tried to configure the Synchronization rules from the url: http://localhost/identitymanagement/aspx/syncrule/CreateSyncRule.aspxI entered the rule Name, selected the Flow Type and clicked on Next.In the scope tab, I don't see anything in the drop down list for "Metaverse Object Type", "Connected System", "Connected Object Type".Can you please let me know what the problem could be? Due to this I am unable to move ahead with the steps in defining a synchronization rule. Also, what is the difference between the Synchronization rules as defined in the earlier MIIS 2003version and ILM V2? Do I have to use only the url now to define synchronization rules with ILM v2? Can I not use the old option selecting Advanced Rule in attribute flow and compiling the .NET or C# code?

I belief, the best solution is to work with this document. It will walk you through the configuration of an ILM2 scenario and also answer our questions. In ILM2, a new way for configuring synchronization rules is introduces. This is also known as codeless provisioning. The old way of configuring your environment is still supported. Hello Markus,Where can I find the document you mentioned in the above post?Is the new synchronization rules "codeless provisioning" used for both Attribute synchronization rules as well as User account provisioning? Thanks

Aehhh, if you click this in my response above, the link will open the doc for you Yes, codeless provisioning includes attribute level operations as well as object level operations. Codeless provisioning is an extension to the synchronization rules model in previous versions. It is based on the same ingredients but provides lots of enhancements to the implementation in the past. Did you ever get a good answer for this? I was not able to get the dropdown populated!!

To get anything populated in the mentioned lists, you need to configure an ILM MA first. Here is a document that walks you through the complete process.
