IIS discovery Excluding
Hi, I have overridden the IIS discovery for all exchange 2003 and 2007 servers. All the exchange 2007 servers which was showing under the IIS computer in the monitoring pane are disappeared. but still the exchnage 2003 servers are in showing under the IIS computers. I have tried the remove-disabledobject command but not luck. Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks, SaravThanks, Sarav

Hi Sarav, Why would you want to get rid of the IIS monitoring for Exchange servers? IIS is a big part of the base of Exchange, so I would suggest monitoring it! By the way also nice to monitor it on the SCOM boxes as webconsole and reporting use it and you might want to know if anything happens with it.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog)

Hi! If you go to Monitoring->Discovered Inventory Right-Click¨, Select Change Target Type Type IIS Server Role in the Look for box (have to select View all tagets) Choos IIS Server role and hit OK Does the servers appear in the list? If so, have you overridden ALL IIS Server Role discoveries (they are different for IIS 2000, IIS 2003 and IIS 7)? /RogerThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
