IE 8 script errors with SharePoint 2007 enterprize edition
I am using ie8 as my primary browser but for last few weeks i have been getting script errors when using ie8 and Win XP I get messages such as Element not found on line 1945 or Object does not support this property or method on line 213 Also when I tried to amend site navigation, but I cannot as the areas are blank, no menus get displayed. In Firefox I can amend the navigation, but there are other issues with MOSS and firefox I have attached a word doc so you can see the messages, or screen grabs. I have uninstalled IE8 and reinstalled, but this made no difference. What else should I try. I think this is a local issue on my laptop, but dont really want to reinstall the OS thanks

Hello, IE8 works with XP in following scenario's Windows XP, 32-bit versions with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or a later version Windows XP Professional, 64-bit Edition Please verify you are on correct service pack of XP. Also please check this for details about IE8: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970310 Hope this helps,Regards, Rohan --Please mark as "Answer" if the post resolve your issue--

Hi, Have you installed any video plugins like Divx? If yes then I would suggest you to remove it and try again. Thanks, Rahul Rashu

Hi Direbus, Take a look at the "Plan Browser Support" document for 2007 and ensure your version of OS/IE/SP2007 meet the criteria for Level 1 support. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526(v=office.12).aspxPaul Turner http://redmanta.co.uk/blog Twitter: @RedMantaUK MCTS:WSS,MOSS,2010 MCITP:2010.
