I have recently installed IE8 as my web browser on my pc. I have a document library in MOSS 2007. When I try to "check out" Word or Excel documents the documents don't check out and I cannot edit them. If I click on the documents I am prompted to open them in a new window. Does anyone know is this a compatability issue between IE8 and MOSS ? Anyone know of a solution to my "Check out" problem? Thanks, J.

I am using IE 8 with MOSS and have not run into any problems try this. start > programs > microsoft office > microsoft office tools > Microsoft Office Diagnostics. run the diagnostic if it finds something broken you will be able to repair it and everything should work after that
