I/O Performance throttled down consistently in every minute with the same pattern. (Windows Clustering 2012 R2 + SQL Clustering 2012 R2)

Dear Expert...

I just done installation of Windows Clustering 2012 R2 + SQL Clustering 2012 R2. However, when i do I/O performance test. the result is not perfect. As per graph below, the I/O seems to have throttled down consistently in every minute with the same pattern. Any idea?

Note: The cluster is connect to SAN storage. The SAN Storage tested fine with other standalone server.

Many Thanks!

Hi,

How are the disk connected ?

And how many network adapters does your cluster have ?

And did you set the network adapters and the Switch on a Fixed Speed ? and is the LAN NIC on top of the binding order ?

Give us more detail on your cluster configuration

Dear Robert Smit,

Thanks for your reply.

The configuration is exactly the same with the existing sets, we have done the few sets without problem and currently running in production.

No choice i tried to destroyed the SQL Cluster (while remain Windows Cluster), and then reinstalled back SQL Cluster. Problem Resolved! Anyhow, still can't figure out the root cause.

Anyway, Thanks once again for trying to help, appreciate it.

Regards,
Jax Ong.

Hi Jax Ong1,

At cluster sitd, please try to disable the CSV cache then monitor the issue again.
