I'm trying to deploy this (SystemCenterOperationsManager2007-R2CU2-KB979257-X86-X64-IA64-ENU.MSI) via sccm to 40 users. Here's the issue. I run the MSI with /q or /qn or /passive and hidden selected on the sccm package. The install works great except the install displays the splash screen after the install has completed. Any ideas on how to stop the pop up. Even When I run the install and it completes and I select exit and then the intial splash screen pops up again. Not sure why microsoft is providing a msi cum. update that can not be run silently. Any help will be greatly appreciated on how to run this update silently..

That's not very common, /qn should work as far as the msi is concerned so it sounds like the msi is set to kick off something afterwards. I would post the question in the SCOM list since that appears to be a SCOM patch because there's not much we can do from SCCM to stop that. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |
