How to tell whether SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services is being used or simply installed?
If SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services is being used at all not just installed, which tables in ReportServer database should have some records?

Query the ExecutionLog table in ReportServer databases. This table logs an entry each time the Report Server interacts with a report after it's been deployed to the Report Server. SELECT TOP 100 * FROM dbo.ExecutionLog

I'm not familiar with Reporting Services. I need to determine whether there is anything using Reporting Services so I can stop the service running in some SQL Servers. If Sharepoint is using Reporting Services, which tables in ReportServer database should have some rows?

Short answer - It doesn't look like anybody is using Reporting Services. Even if the reports are executed from SharePoint, you should see an entry in the ExecutionLog table
