How to take a backup and restore a coloboration published portal which is live and restore it on other server it should be subsite
Hi,please any one can help me regarding my problem..I have to take a backup of a coloboration portal from the production machine and restore it on the QA machine, On QA i have one site collection(http://sitename) and i have to replace the backup as a sub site for the site collection (eg:http://sitename/subsite) The backup for colloboration portal size is 15GBThe main site is Coloboration portal and got its own content database (i,e: wss_content_xxx),the sub site got its own content database (i,e: wss_content_subsite_xxx),The sub site is coloboration portal on prodction server.what I did till now :I did full backup and restored :I got a problem, i got the site collection but not sub site ,The sub site is coloboration portal.I did import and export: so i did import and export, export is sucessful but when importing i received an error Fatal error: Length cannot be less than zeroparamet name: Lengthden the import is stoped. so please any one help me how to solve the issue.Thanks in advance.

Hi Satish marru, please check the SQL server Diskspace.becuase your file size is 15gb ,if the server Dont have the space to Restore the Content it will give you the Error some times.please try other methods to restore.The below are different methods to backup and restore the Sharepoint Sevrer 2007.
