How to span ssrs table cell in multiple page
HI I have a sql report , I am using ssrs 2008 for reporting. In my report I have a cell inside a table where I need to show some lengthy content, sometime it exceeds 2000 characters. Presently what is happening is if the cell is not fitted on current page, it is starting on the next page and showing. But I want to start the cell on current page and continue to the next page. Please help me to solve this issue . Thanks in advance RPDaniel

Hi RPDaniel, Just as Timothy's reply we don't have much control over the HTML rendering in SSRS, and we cannot span cell inside table in multiple pages. I suggest you can use PDF as output, PDF rendering is a Physical Page break and not a Locical page break as the HTML output is. An alternative is to disable soft page breaks and show the whole report on one line by setting InteractiveHeight = 0. Another alterative is to use a customer renderer rather than the default SSRS HTML renderer, or to modify the HTML renderer. For more information, you can refer to the following articels, Viewing, Exporting, and Printing Reports: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156268.aspx. Display Your Data Your Way with Custom Renderers for Reporting Services: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc163840.aspx. Hope that helps. Thanks, Eileen

Hi all, Thanks for the responses. and sorry for late replay . well i got my solution. that i just need to set keep together property of control to false, that make the control to span on multiple pages. But there is some draw back also . since it is spanning to multiple pages the border is not closing . any way i am managing that with the fotter line. Thanks, RP Daniel. Riju Parayidayil
